PM Modi lauds ALLEN Kota students for Chemistry Olympiad feat in ‘Mann Ki Baat’
Kota, July 27: Two students from the renowned ALLEN Career Institute, Kota, have brought laurels to India at the International Chemistry Olympiad, drawing praise from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 124th episode of his monthly radio address Mann Ki Baat.
As per the statement issued by Allen Kota, Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya, a Class 12 student, clinched a gold medal, while Debdatta Priyadarshi, a Class 10 student, secured a silver medal at the Olympiad held recently in the United Arab Emirates. Both are classroom students at ALLEN Kota — Devesh for the past seven years and Debdatta for three.
The Prime Minister acknowledged their achievement along with those of other young science prodigies. “A few days ago, our students won medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad. Devesh Pankaj, Sandeep Kuchi, Debdatta Priyadarshi, and Ujjwal Kesari have made the country proud. Alongside this, India also strengthened its position in the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Australia, securing three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal,” Modi said.
The International Chemistry Olympiad saw four Indian participants — half of whom were from ALLEN Kota — making the institute a key contributor to India’s success in global science competitions.
Nitin Kukreja, CEO of ALLEN Career Institute Pvt. Ltd., expressed pride over the recognition by the Prime Minister and said the institute remains committed to nurturing scientific talent. “ALLEN is striving to take Indian students to the national and international Olympiad platforms. Our consistent performance is the result of years of focused preparation and mentorship,” he said.
ALLEN began its Olympiad training initiative in 2013. Since then, its students have won 69 gold, 54 silver, and 12 bronze medals at various international Olympiads. The highest tally has been in the International Junior Science Olympiad, with 38 gold medals, followed by 10 in Physics, 6 in Chemistry, 4 in Biology, 3 in Mathematics, 5 in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and 3 in the Junior Astronomy Olympiad.
The institute’s latest feat, with two students excelling on a global stage and drawing recognition from the Prime Minister, has once again underscored Kota’s stature as the cradle of India's competitive academic excellence.
