PM Modi, Israeli PM Netanyahu exchange new year greetings, reaffirm strategic partnership
New Delhi, Jan 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, with the two leaders exchanging New Year greetings and conveying their wishes for peace and prosperity for the people of both countries.
During the conversation, the leaders discussed shared priorities to further strengthen the India–Israel Strategic Partnership in the year ahead, anchored in common democratic values, mutual trust and a forward-looking vision.
They reiterated a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism in all its forms and reaffirmed their commitment to combat the menace. Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed PM Modi on the implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan, while Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s consistent support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and durable peace in the region. The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest and agreed to remain in touch.
