PM Modi inaugurates INS Towers in Mumbai

New Delhi, July 13: The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) celebrated the inauguration of its new B-Wing at INS Towers, located in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiated the ceremony, which was attended by prominent state officials and media industry leaders.

The event commenced with PM Modi unveiling a commemorative plaque, followed by a welcome address from INS President Rakesh Sharma. Notable attendees included Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the print media's crucial role in India's development, emphasisng its importance in shaping the nation's future over the next 25 years. He urged the media to support government initiatives beneficial to citizens, stressing their non-partisan nature.

Promote interstate tourism through media campaigns, translate publications into UN-recognized languages, leverage microsites and social media for global outreach and expand digital editions to amplify India's international voice

INS President Sharma used the opportunity to address recent industry concerns, including issues related to Self Declaration Certificates and matters previously raised with the Finance Minister.

The newly inaugurated INS Towers B-Wing, a 14-story, state-of-the-art facility, is expected to become a hub for Mumbai's print media sector. Its strategic location in BKC positions it as a central point for media operations in the city.

This inauguration marks a significant milestone for the INS and the broader print media industry, symbolizing a commitment to excellence and sustainability in the evolving media landscape.
