Reflecting on the evolving legacy of government employment, Modi highlighted that states under BJP and NDA leadership, such as Haryana, have committed to transparent recruitment, adding 26,000 new positions in the state without reliance on recommendations or expenses. He assured new recruits that their roles would contribute to developing a modern India, driven by infrastructure projects and technology.

As part of his speech, the Prime Minister outlined the government’s investments in key infrastructure sectors, such as transportation, communications, and energy. He cited a recent defence sector development in Vadodara, where a new aircraft manufacturing facility will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Noting the substantial ripple effect such projects have on MSMEs and local supply chains, Modi explained how a single aircraft project, which involves up to 25,000 individual parts, provides a considerable boost to small manufacturers across India.

Prime Minister also highlighted the broader employment ecosystem emerging from government schemes like the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana. This initiative has registered over 2 crore participants, created jobs for 9,000 vendors, and provided solar power installations for more than 5 lakh homes. Plans are in place to develop 800 model “solar villages,” generating opportunities for manufacturers, vendors, and technicians nationwide.

On skill development, Modi discussed programs like Skill India and the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana, which aim to bridge the experience gap for young professionals. Through paid internships with India’s top companies, over one crore youth are expected to gain hands-on experience in business environments, thus strengthening their career prospects.

Beyond India’s borders, Modi highlighted new international opportunities for Indian youth. Germany, for instance, has increased skilled visas for Indians from 20,000 to 90,000 annually, and agreements with other nations now provide easier pathways for work and study abroad. This, he said, allows India’s talented youth to contribute to global progress while bringing valuable experience back to India.

Closing his address, Modi encouraged new appointees to embrace their roles as a service to the nation. Urging them to utilise training resources on the iGOT Karmayogi platform, he emphasised that government employees should strive for excellence, setting an example for public service worldwide. “India has great expectations from you, and you must rise to meet them,” he said.
