PM Modi conferred Namibia’s highest civilian honour during state visit

Windhoek (Namibia), Jul 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his State Visit to Namibia, was conferred with the country’s highest civilian honour, the Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis, by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

He became the first Indian leader to receive this prestigious award.

The recognition marks a significant milestone in India-Namibia relations, highlighting the deep and historic ties between the two nations. The honour is seen as a symbol of the growing partnership and mutual respect between the peoples of India and Namibia.
