PM Modi arrives in Ethiopia

New Delhi, Dec 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Addis Ababa on Tuesday on his first bilateral visit to Ethiopia. In a special and warm gesture, he was received at the airport by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and accorded a colourful welcome.

India and Ethiopia share longstanding historical ties rooted in strong people-to-people connections.

The reception extended to Prime Minister Modi reflected the importance both countries attach to their partnership as close collaborators in the Global South.
