PM Modi announces 100 rupees cut in LPG gas cylinder price
New Delhi, Mar 8: Prime Minister Modi declared a noteworthy reduction of Rs. 100 in the prices of LPG cylinders, aiming to ease financial burdens on households across the nation, particularly benefiting women-led households.
In a tweet shared on his official handle, PM Modi emphasized the positive impact of this decision on alleviating economic strains and promoting the welfare of 'Nari Shakti,' or women's power. He underscored the initiative's dual objective of supporting families while contributing to environmental sustainability through affordable cooking gas.
“Today on Women’s Day, our Government has decided to reduce LPG cylinder prices by Rs 100. This will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country, especially benefitting our Nari Shakti. By making cooking gas more affordable, we also aim to support the well-being of families and ensure a healthier environment. This is in line with our commitment to empowering women and ensuring ‘Ease of Living for Them.”
In a separate tweet, Prime Minister Modi extended heartfelt greetings on International Women's Day, acknowledging the strength, courage, and resilience of women. He lauded their achievements across various sectors and reaffirmed the government's dedication to women's empowerment through multifaceted initiatives spanning education, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and technology.
