Ursula von der Leyen secured her re-election in a crucial vote on Thursday, which The Euri News described as the greatest test of her political legacy, forged through a series of crises that have challenged the European Union. After a rigorous session in the European Parliament, von der Leyen received 401 votes in favor and 284 against, securing a substantial majority for her second five-year term.

This decisive result contrasts sharply with her previous election in 2019, where she won by a narrow margin of just nine votes, marking a significant turnaround and strong endorsement of her leadership.
