Pitching poll campaigners NC’s internal issue: Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi

Srinagar, Oct 22: Can the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) take advantage of the ongoing rift within the National Conference (NC) between Member of Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and the party leadership ahead of the Budgam Assembly by-election? However, PDP’s candidate from the constituency, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, denied any such notion, saying he has nothing to do with the internal issues of the NC, as per KNS.

“It’s their own rift. Both leaders belong to the NC. Whether they will campaign or not, I will not interfere in their internal matter,” Muntazir said.

The remarks came as the National Conference leadership had appealed to Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi to support party candidate Aga Syed Mehmood in the Budgam by-election.
