Pir Panchal Remark Row: LoP Sunil Sharma refuses to apologise
Jammu, Feb 4: Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma refused to apologise for his remarks on “Pir Panchal” stating he only opposed the way attempts were being made to divide Jammu or for that matter J&K.
“They are talking about puranic scriptures. Then I need to tell you that in our scriptures, the area, which they referred to as “Chenab valley” is called “Chanderbhagha Vibhag (division)”. Will those, who are acting as “Jammu tools”, address it as “Chanderbhaga Vibhag”? They cannot as it will offend their bosses,” Sharma took a dig at the ruling coalition members while responding to media queries outside J&K Legislature.
Earlier, Minister for Forest and Jal Shakti, Javed Rana and the MLA Thannamandi registered their protest against the remarks of the LoP in the House.
