Pheran magic: Bollywood actress Bhagyashree dons Kashmiri designer's creation

Srinagar, Dec 25: In a momentous collaboration between Srinagar's talented fashion designer, Sabia, and Bollywood luminary Bhagyashree, a unique Pheran has been crafted, capturing the essence of Kashmiri elegance.

Sabia expressed her elation, describing the opportunity as a dream realized. The encounter unfolded when, aware of the actress's presence in Srinagar, Sabia, through a well-connected friend, extended an invitation for Bhagyashree to explore their boutique in Baghat. Graciously accepting the offer, the Bollywood star paid a visit, marking a proud and exciting chapter in Sabia's design journey.

She said that the actress was impressed after seeing the Kashmiri Pherans in our collections. “We gifted a Pheran to her and I designed it myself for her,” she said.

“We were not expecting that Bhagyashree, being such a big film star, would visit our boutique and promote our brand and Kashmiri Pheran. But she is a very down to earth actress. It is like a dream come true,” said Sabia who runs a boutique named- The Mirror.

She added that the actress’s visit will add more customers to our business. “We will continue to provide the best designs to our customers who have been trusting us for all these years and the actress's visit has proven that we are truly doing something extraordinary. We are thankful to Bhagyashree for her visit and motivating us,” she said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) fame actress mentioned about the boutique on her Instagram handle. She wrote, “The Mirror: Women entrepreneurs (Sabia) who started just before the Covid. Their Pherans are so pretty. I picked up one too.”

She also wore the same Pheran for a function in Lucknow on Sunday. She had uploaded stories about the same on her Instagram handle.
