PHDCCI-Kashmir unveils Pervaiz Kaiser’s book 'Setting Up Industry in Kashmir'

Srinagar, Jul 19: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir today unveiled the book “Setting Up Industry in Kashmir” authored by Er. Syed Pervaiz Kaiser, Industrial Affairs Convenor of PHDCCI Kashmir. The launch event, held at the Chamber’s Jawahar Nagar office, was attended by core members and chaired by PHDCCI Kashmir Chairman A P Vicky Shaw.

Recognising Er. Kaiser’s long-standing contribution to entrepreneurship and industrial growth in the region, the Chairman described the book as a practical guide for startups, a reference tool for existing industries, and a resource for policy advocacy.

As a key announcement during the event, Shaw also launched a Free Mentoring and Entrepreneurship Counselling Cell for the youth and aspiring entrepreneurs of Kashmir. The cell will begin operations on July 1 and will function every Friday at 2:30 PM from the PHDCCI Kashmir office. The initiative will be led by Er. Syed Pervaiz Kaiser and Er. “This initiative is a step toward empowering the youth of Kashmir with the right knowledge and mentorship to build sustainable enterprises,” said Shaw. “Both the book and the mentoring cell will act as catalysts for economic transformation.”

Er. Kaiser, while expressing gratitude, said the book captures his decades of experience working with industries and MSMEs across Kashmir. “My goal is to make the industrial setup simple and accessible. This book, along with the mentoring cell, is meant to bridge the gap between vision and execution,” he said.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of PHDCCI Kashmir’s commitment to support industrial development, entrepreneurship, and policy engagement in the region through sustained knowledge-sharing and grassroots initiatives.
