Srinagar, Nov 28: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) delegation, led by Chairman Vicky Shaw, recently met with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, IAS, in a constructive dialogue aimed at addressing critical developmental issues in the region.

The discussions centred around key topics such as public-private partnerships, the expansion of the IT sector, the waste-to-energy project, tourism registrations, and the proposed Kashmir International Trade Expo (KITEX).

During the meeting, the PHDCCI delegation underscored the necessity of collaborative efforts to enhance infrastructure and create diverse opportunities across various sectors. The Chief Secretary attentively considered the delegation’s recommendations and insights, recognizing the vital role these initiatives play in fostering economic growth for the region.

Shaw expressed appreciation for the Chief Secretary’s openness to engage in meaningful dialogue and reiterated the chamber’s commitment to cultivating a thriving business environment. The meeting also saw the presence of Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, who plays an important role towards trade and commerce of Kashmir region.

The Chief Secretary assured the delegation of the government’s comprehensive support in ensuring the successful organization of KITEX, which is anticipated to be a landmark annual event for promoting trade and investment in Kashmir wherein equal opportunity would be provided to all entrepreneurs of J&K.
