Srinagar, May 30: A high-level delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), New Delhi, met with the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, at Raj Bhavan to discuss investment prospects and developmental priorities in the Union Territory.

The delegation was led by Rajeev Talwar (Retd. IAS), former president of PHDCCI, and included Sameer Gupta (MCM Member), Retd. Major General Ashok Narula (AVSM), and Iqbal Fayaz Jan, Deputy Director, PHDCCI Kashmir.

The meeting centred on investment opportunities, infrastructure expansion, and collaborative efforts to accelerate economic growth in J\&K. Talwar reaffirmed PHDCCI’s commitment to supporting the region’s industrial development and praised the Lieutenant Governor’s role in fostering peace and stability.

The delegation also lauded Sinha’s leadership during “Operation Sindoor,” describing it as pivotal in reinforcing security and creating a stable environment for development.

In a separate meeting, the delegation held talks with Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the LG and CEO of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. The discussions focused on preparedness for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra and improving infrastructure and services for pilgrims.

PHDCCI assured full cooperation with the J&K administration and armed forces in advancing projects that promote sustainable development, job creation, and industrial growth.
