Pharmacovigilance Week begins at Aryans College of Pharmacy
Srinagar, Sep 17: Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura (near Chandigarh), inaugurated Pharmacovigilance Week 2025 under the theme “Your Safety, Just a Click Away: Report to PvPI.”
As per the statement issued, the inaugural ceremony featured a keynote session by Dr Ajay Prakash, Additional Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Dr Prakash emphasised the critical importance of drug safety, the need for timely reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and the pivotal role pharmacists play in safeguarding patient health.
The seminar saw active participation from D. Pharma and B. Pharma students, who gained valuable insights into the role of pharmacovigilance in their professional careers.
As part of the week-long observance, the college will organise awareness campaigns, workshops, and interactive sessions to sensitise pharmacy students about pharmacovigilance practices and encourage active involvement in strengthening the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI).
