People’s support indispensable for peace, security: SSP Jammu
Jammu, Oct 19: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Joginder Singh Sunday sought people’s cooperation for a safe and secure environment in the winter capital and for foiling the nefarious designs of inimical elements to disrupt the peaceful scenario.
While addressing the media, he asserted that though the Police had taken all desired security measures to ensure peaceful celebrations of ensuing Deepawali festival and smooth reopening of the Darbar Move offices in Jammu.
“All the forces – the Police, Army, BSF and other paramilitary forces are doing their jobs with an unflinching determination to ensure the safety of our citizens. Yet people’s cooperation always remains indispensable for the men in uniform to achieve success against the nefarious designs of the adversary, which always plans to disturb the peaceful atmosphere,” SSP Jammu said.
“We have been fighting terrorism for the past 30-35 years but the adversary has been unrelenting in its efforts to push terrorists and drugs to keep the pot (of terrorism) boiling. Hence, we need to guard against all such attempts to foil its designs,” he asserted.
Seeking cooperation of the people, SSP Jammu asked them to strictly adhere to the provisions of tenant verification and fill up forms providing information about their tenants, including migrant workers.
He also asked the people to report any suspicious activity or the presence of an unclaimed object anywhere immediately to the Police.
