People suffer due to frequent, prolonged power outages: Apni Party

Srinagar, Jan 23: Apni Party today said that people are suffering due to frequent and prolonged power outages.

The party has urged the authorities to ensure required electricity supply to consumers. In a statement, the District President Srinagar and former MLA, Sheikh Noor Mohammad expressed grave concern over the frequent and prolonged power outages in the areas falling under Narbal Subdivision in Srinagar. He termed the frequent electricity outages “deeply troubling” and deemed them “unacceptable”.

Sheikh Noor Mohammad said, “The 18-hour power cuts are causing immense hardships for the residents. The unpredictable supply disrupts daily life and economic activities in the areas falling under Narbal Subdivision in Srinagar.”

He appealed to Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and the divisional administration to promptly take the necessary measures to restore regular power supply in Narbal Subdivision. He also sought the intervention of Lieutenant Governor(LG ) of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, in the matter. He requested the LG to intervene in ensuring uninterrupted electricity for the people, emphasising that reliable access to power is crucial for public welfare, health, education, and employment in affected areas.
