People in J&K suffering amid weather vagaries: GM Shaheen

Srinagar, Aug 30: JDU state president GM Shaheen on Friday launched accused the government of “failing to provide basic facilities and relief to flood-affected communities across the region.”

In a press release, Shaheen said the administration had made repeated promises but failed to deliver fundamental amenities or extend meaningful support to those suffering due to natural calamities.

“The people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to face hardships while the administration remains indifferent to their plight,” he stated.

Shaheen alleged that successive governments misled the people with false assurances while neglecting their genuine needs.
