People from different walks of life extend condolences to bereaved Kaloo, Mir families
Srinagar, Aug 9: Hundreds of people from different walks of life participated in the Nimaze-e-Jinaza of Naseema Akhter, sister of Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, Editor The Mirror Of Kashmir, Dr Farooq Ahmad Kaloo, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, Editor Greater Kashmir, and mother of Mir Aijaz Ahmad, Editor Kashmir Canvas, on Saturday.
She passed away on Friday, August 8, after a prolonged illness at SKIMS Soura. Hundreds of people participated in her Nimaz-e-Jinaza in the premises of Jamia Masjid Hyderpora. She was laid to rest with moist eyes at her ancestral graveyard at Hyderpora.
Fateha Khawani will be held on August 12, Tuesday at 10:30 am at the bereaved family’s ancestral graveyard near Jamia Masjid, Hyderpora, followed by a condolence meeting at their residence at Zabarwan Colony, Hyderpora.
The demise has been widely condoled by political, social and religious organisations, praying for peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Naseema Akhter, wife of Mir Ghulam Qadir.
In a message of condolence, the duo extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved Kaloo and Mir families, particularly Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, Editor of The Mirror of Kashmir, Dr Farooq Ahmad Kaloo, and Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, Editor of Greater Kashmir and Mir Aijaz Ahmad, Editor Kof ashmir Canvas.
Dr Farooq and Omar prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul in the highest ranks of Jannat and strength for the family to endure this irreparable loss.

Earlier party's Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq attended the Nimaz-e-Jinaza of late Naseema Akhter and personally conveyed condolences to the family, including Fayaz Kaloo on behalf of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He prayed for her magfirat and strength for the bereaved. Later State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar also visited the bereaved household and offered condolences to the bereaved, including Ghulam Hassan Kaloo and Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo. MLA Gulmarg Farooq Ahmad Shah also visited the bereaved family and extended condolences.
Additionally, Mushtaq Guroo, MLA Chanpora and Political Advisor to the NC President, visited the family residence to offer condolences. He was accompanied by Mir GM Saqi, Publicity Secretary, and several local party functionaries. The delegation offered Fatiha and prayed for peace to the departed soul and solace to the grieving family.

Former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti visited the residence of the bereaved family and extended condolences to Greater Kashmir Editor-in-Chief Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo on the demise of his sister.

In a condolence message, the unions said they were deeply shocked to hear the sudden and sad news, assuring the bereaved family that they share in their grief. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength to the family to bear the loss.

Chairman Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), Manzoor Wangnoo, along with members of the organisation, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the sister of Greater Kashmir Editor-in-Chief, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo.

A condolence meeting was held at the Moul Mouj Health Centre, Karan Nagar on the demise of the sister of Fayaz A Kaloo, Editor-in-Chief of Greater Kashmir. The gathering was attended by the administration and healthcare staff of the Moul Mouj Foundation and Kashmir Clinics Central, along with Dr. Zubair Saleem and Dr. Shakeel ur Rehman.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Zubair Saleem described her as “not just a patient, but a complete mother, a resilient woman with unshakable faith in Allah.” He said “she defied all medical prognosis and projections through her extraordinary willpower and deep spiritual strength.”
Prayers for magfirat were offered for the departed soul, along with prayers for patience and strength to the bereaved family.

President of Jamait-e-Hamdani Maulana Riyaz Hamdani and Chief Spokesperson GM Saqi also condoled the demise.
