Pensioners seek enhancement of allowance

Srinagar, Sep 24: Pensioners have sought enhancement of allowance and restoration of communication pension after 10 years.

A joint delegation of J&K Civil Secretariat Pensioners Welfare Forum and J&K Retired Accounts Employees Association (J&KAccounts ICON Group) comprising of Chandji Bhat General Secretary J&K Civil Secretariat Pensioners welfare Forum, Mohammad Salim Zahid Admin J&K Retired Accounts Employees Association (J&K Accounts ICON Group) and Additional General Secretary J&K Civil Secretariat Pensioners Welfare Forum, Syed Altaf Gowhar Organising Secretary J&K Civil Secretariat Pensioners Welfare Forum and Mohammad Ashraf Wani Accounts Officer(r) met THE Chief Secretary in his office chamber civil Secretariat Srinagar today.

The delegation has submitted two memorandums and other relevant papers to him. One concerned the enhancement of fixed medical allowance of Rs 1000 PM on the pattern of “our counterparts UT of Ladakh and restoration of communication pension after 10 years.”

The Chief Secretary has heard their view points minutely and the members thanked him for patient hearing and taking immediate action on these issues.
