Pencak Silat selection trials for Federation Cup on 29 July in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 13: The Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and Kashmir is set to conduct selection trials for the upcoming 9th Pencak Silat Federation Cup 2025 on July 29 at the Indoor Stadium, Polo Ground, Srinagar.

As per a statement, the trials will feature participation from both junior boys and girls, as well as senior men and women, competing across various weight categories and events to further represent their state/region in the prestigious tournament.

The Events to be held as per the statement are Tanding (Match/Fighting), Tunggal (Single-Player Artistic), Ganda (Two-Player Artistic Team), Regu (Three-Player Artistic Team) and Solo (Single Artistic)

For eligibility & registration, the statement has asked that junior participants must carry a valid date of birth certificate along with two passport-size photographs.

All interested athletes are required to register through their respective district associations by or before July 20, 2025. No entries will be accepted past the deadline.

A screening committee will evaluate selected players on July 30, 2025.

The entire selection process will be held under the supervision of official observers from the J&K Sports Council.
