Pedestrian killed in Bemina road accident

Srinagar, May 15: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle at Bemina area on city outskirts today.

Officials said that the incident occurred near Tehsil office of Bemina. The deceased was identified as Ghulam Mohammad Hajam, son of Ghulam Hassan Hajam, resident of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

“The incident occurred when a private passenger bus carrying security forces hit the pedestrian and led to his on-the-spot death. It was a civilian bus driven by a local. The bus has been seized, and the driver will be nabbed soon. We have lodged an FIR in this regard,” police said.
