PDUNASS launches orientation prog for newly promoted APFCs
New Delhi, Sep 8: An Orientation Programme for newly promoted Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs) was inaugurated on Monday at the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS) by Director Kumar Rohit.
Thirty officers from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) have joined the three-week training to prepare for their enhanced responsibilities as Group-A officers. In his inaugural address, Kumar Rohit welcomed the trainees and encouraged them to share their expectations, setting a participatory tone for the programme.
The Director highlighted the need to strengthen decision-making, leadership skills, and accountability, urging officers to learn from best practices adopted by Direct Recruit APFCs. He emphasised behavioural competencies in public administration, focusing on “Compassion in Governance” and “Design Thinking” to foster empathetic leadership and innovative problem-solving.
The programme includes thematic sessions, experiential learning, and a four-day outbound module on personal growth, team building, and leadership development.
The training has been curated by experienced officers under the guidance of Rizwan Uddin, Chief Learning Officer, with course preparation led by Ram Anand and the outbound component conducted by Vijay Kumar.
