PDP spokesperson visits MA Road Church, extends Christmas greetings
Srinagar, Dec 25: On the directions of Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti, a PDP spokesperson and Constituency Incharge Lal Chowk on Thursday visited the church on Maulana Azad Road (MA Road) here and extended Christmas greetings to the Father of the Church on behalf of the party.
During the visit, the PDP leader conveyed warm wishes to members of the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas, underscoring the festival’s message of love, peace and compassion. He reiterated the PDP’s commitment to Jammu and Kashmir’s inclusive and syncretic ethos, which he said has long been a defining feature of the region.
He said such interactions help strengthen interfaith harmony and reflect the spirit of mutual respect and coexistence that binds communities together in Jammu and Kashmir. Festivals like Christmas, he added, provide an opportunity to deepen bonds of brotherhood and promote peace and understanding in society.
Other PDP leaders, including Dr Ali Mohammad, Shafi Kundangarg, Khalid Mir, Umar Ahmad Dar and Bilal Sofi, were also present and joined in extending greetings and best wishes to the Christian community on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
