Thousands of supporters attended the NC’s road show, which stretched from Watlar to Gagengar.

Altaf highlighted the work done during his tenure as a minister and MLA Kangan.

He said that one of the major projects that benefitted the people of Kangan was the Z-Morh Tunnel.

Altaf said that it was due to his efforts that the tunnel was sanctioned.

“I ensured that this tunnel is constructed. The tunnel will provide employment opportunities to locals and ensure round-the-year connectivity to the health resort of Sonamarg as half of the local population is dependent upon the tourism sector,” he said.

Altaf said that several roads, hospitals, bridges, and other development works were done during his tenure as an MLA.

NC candidate Mehar Ali also addressed the gathering on the occasion and sought votes in his favour.
