PDP resolution to hand over Waqf Board to Mirwaiz's MMU dropped in Assembly balloting
Srinagar, Oct 22: Out of 58 private member resolutions submitted for the upcoming session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, only seven have been admitted following the official balloting process.
The PDP’s resolution seeking to hand over the custodianship of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board to Mirwaiz’s Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulama was among those dropped in the ballot.
The resolutions admitted for discussion are as follows:
Nizam-ud-Din: Establishment of a Law University
B.A. Veeri: Promotion of Employment
Pawan Gupta: Compensation under NDRF
Rajeev Bhagat: Improvement of Infrastructure
Muzafar Iqbal: Implementation of Panchayati Raj Rules
Aijaz Jan: Regularisation of Daily Wagers
Balwant Singh: Allotment of Land
The balloting process determines which private member resolutions will be taken up for detailed debate and discussion during the forthcoming Assembly session.
