Srinagar, Oct 10: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convened a high-level preparatory meeting at Budgam, presided over by JKPDP General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Alam.

The session brought together senior party leaders and key district functionaries to strategize and strengthen organizational readiness. Among those present were PDP District President Budgam Mohammad Yaseen Bhat and Contestant Candidate Aga Muntazir Mehdi.

“Alam underscored the critical nature of the By-poll and accused National Conference for failed promises,” said a party statement.  “Budgam deserves leadership that listens, cares and delivers. The people have suffered long enough due to the negligence and inaction of the National Conference. They left Budgam unattended, ignoring the aspirations and struggles of the common citizen. The people cannot be fooled twice.”

Alam said PDP was the indigenous, people-centric alternative, emphasising that “This election is an opportunity for the people of Budgam to choose a party that genuinely cares, that is rooted in the community, and that prioritizes service over rhetoric. Aga Muntazir Mehdi represents that promise—dedication, integrity and a commitment to uplift every household in the constituency.”

“Our strength is our unity, our vision, and our unwavering bond with the people. The people of Budgam will now have a choice—continue with neglect or embrace leadership that truly represents them,” Mehdi added.
