Srinagar, May 6: A delegation of J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by General Secretary Mohammad Khurshid Alam visited the bereaved family of a murdered woman from the nomadic community, following directions from party President Mehbooba Mufti.

According to a press release, the delegation extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Those in the delegation included Abdul Qayoom Bhat, Dr Ali Mohammad, Arif Laigaroo, Khalid Mir, Mohammad Shafi Kundanghar, Ishfaq, Bilal Sofi., Waseem mir, Fayaz Reshi,Bilal Sofi, and Omar Dar.

While addressing the gathering, Mohammad Khurshid Alam condemned the heinous crime in the strongest terms and called upon the authorities to ensure swift and exemplary justice. "This brutal and barbaric act has shaken the soul of our society. Crimes of such nature cannot be tolerated. We demand a fair, time-bound investigation and the harshest possible punishment for those involved, to ensure such acts are never repeated and justice is truly served," he stated.

He reaffirmed the PDP’s unwavering support to the bereaved family, assuring them that the party stands shoulder to shoulder with them in their time of sorrow.

"No crime against the vulnerable, especially women and marginalized communities, will be tolerated under any circumstances and that the fight for justice will continue until the culprits are held fully accountable," he said while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
