PDP appoints Syed Tajamul Islam as party spokesperson
Srinagar, Dec 3: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated Syed Tajamul Islam as its new spokesperson, acknowledging his dedication, strong communication skills, and longstanding commitment to the party's vision, said a press release.
Party leaders said the decision reflects the PDP's focus on strengthening its public outreach and enhancing organisational communication. They added that Tajamul Islam has been an active voice within the party, and his experience will help articulate the PDP's position on key political and public issues. Following the announcement, people from all walks of life including political leaders, social activists, supporters, and well-wishers congratulated him on his new responsibility. They expressed hope that he would represent the party with clarity and continue to work for public welfare.
The PDP leadership also extended good wishes to Syed Tajamul Islam, wishing him success in his new role as spokesperson.
Meanwhile, a party statement said scores of AIP workers from Langate constituency district Kupwara joined PDP in presence of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, general secretary Mohammad Khursheed Aalam, Additional General Secretary Adv Khursheed Iqbal Shah, Women's wing President Anjum Fazli, District President Kupwara Mohammad Afzal Wani.
