‘PDP aims to restore people’s faith in democratic institutions’

Srinagar, Nov 6: PDP Spokesperson and Constituency Incharge Chanapora Mohammed Iqbal Tramboo today said, “the PDP remains committed to the vision of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti.”

“Our focus is to strengthen grassroots democracy and restore the people’s faith in democratic institutions,” Tramboo said, addressing a meeting at Galwanpora in connection with the upcoming Budgam by-elections.

On the occasion, PDP Budgam candidate Aga Muntazir Mehdi said, “the people of Budgam have always stood for peace, dignity, and development. We are confident that under PDP’s inclusive agenda, Budgam will once again witness a new era of progress and representation that truly reflects the aspirations of its people.”

The meeting was presided over by Mohammed Iqbal Tramboo and PDP District President Srinagar Abdul Qayum Bhat, Former State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kosheen, Secretary Srinagar Committee Altaf Tambako, Chanapora Zone President Farooq Dar, Zone Coordinator Fayaz Ahmad Reshi, and Ward Incharges of Humhama Abdul Qayum Wani and Mehrajdin.

The leaders deliberated on the party’s preparedness, booth-level coordination, and outreach strategy to ensure strong public participation in the upcoming polls.
