PDD employee dies in Kathua accident

Jammu, Jan 7: A Power Development Department (PDD) employee Sunday died after his bike slipped into a nullah amid dense fog in Kathua district.

Police identified the deceased employee as Ranjit Singh, a resident of Sherpur village of Kathua district. “The accident presumably occurred due to intense fog as the employee was on his way home after attending duty during the intervening night of January 6 and 7. His body along with bike was retrieved from the nullah this morning,” locals said.

Police registered a case in this connection.
