PCPG meetings held in Handwara, Kulgam

Srinagar, Nov 27: Continuing its unwavering efforts to bridge the gap between police and public, Police in Handwara facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group meeting (PCPG) at PS Town Hall Handwara.

The meeting was chaired by SSP Handwara accompanied by other Police officers of PD Handwara. The meeting was attended by Numberdars, Chowkidars, respectable citizens and members of Auqaf Committees etc.

On the occasion, participants highlighted various issues of public importance. All the gradiences were heard by the chairing officer and were segregated on the basis of area of action and jurisdiction. The participants were assured that all the grievances pertaining to the Police Department will be dealt with as per the law and grievances laying outside the domain of police department will be taken up with the concerned authorities under laid down procedure.

The participants were also stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.

The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.

Meanwhile Kulgam police on the directions of SSP Kulgam facilitated Police Community Partnership Group meetings (PCPG) at Police Station, Qazigund, PS Kund, PS Manzgam, PS DH Pora and Police Post Frisal.

The meetings were chaired by the respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by Numberdars, Chowkidars respectable citizens and members of Auqaf Committees of these areas.
