PC concerned over delay in contractors' payments

Srinagar, Mar 31: J&K Peoples Conference spokesperson Adnan Ashraf Mir expressed his concern over delay in pending payments for contractors amounting to thousands of crores as the financial year draws to a close.

"With the financial year ending in a few hours, time is running out. Contractors play a crucial role in infrastructure development, and their timely payments are vital," Mir said in a statement.

He r stressed that despite numerous submissions & requisite demands made from time to time, these payments remain outstanding, posing a significant challenge to the contractors.
