Patrolling intensified on LoC

Rajouri, Oct 30: In the wake of recent militant incidents and apprehension of major infiltration attempts of dozens of terrorists camping along LoC at launch pads, army has stepped up both day as well as night vigil on Line of Control ( LoC0 in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Line of Control (LoC) is a highly sensitive location between India and PoJK and remains disturbed especially in terms of infiltration attempts.

Recently an encounter took place at Akhnoor Battal in which three militants have been eliminated by forces after they initially tried to ambush an army convoy.

Keeping in view this situation, amy has stepped up vigil on LoC to thwart any infiltration attempt by militants. Army personnel on LoC have increased both day as well as night patrols besides boosting IED detection measures to detect and detonate any IED found planted by terrorists.

Army is also using services of advanced technical gadgets like advanced binoculars, night vision devices to keep this surveillance on LoC in wake of present situation.

Earlier, a senior army officer on Tuesday had informed about apprehension of infiltration attempts in days to come with over 50 militants are waiting to infiltrate at launching pads of Jammu province.
