Paris-Mumbai Vistara flight gets bomb threat, lands amid emergency alert

Mumbai, June 02: A Mumbai-bound Vistara flight with 306 persons on board from Paris forces to land amid emergency alert after the plane received a bomb threat on Sunday.

The flight landed at 10:19 am on Sunday after a full emergency was declared at the city airport on its arrival.

“The flight UK 024 from Paris, Charles de Gualle airport to Mumbai received a hand written note on an airsickness bag threatening a bomb,” sources quoted Vistara officials as having said.

Following the incident, a full emergency was declared at 10:08 am, and the flight however landed at 10:19 am.

The plane had 294 passengers and 12 crew members on board.

“A security concern has been noted by our staff while onboard the airline’s flight UK 024 operating from Paris to Mumbai on June 02, 2024,” Vistara in its official release said.

It added that after following a due protocol the airline immediately informed the concerned authorities and the flight was landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai.
