Srinagar, Sep 15: In an  initiative to cater to the growing healthcare needs of senior citizens in Srinagar, Paras Health  announced the launch of its exclusive senior citizen privilege card.

This program is designed to provide personalised and compassionate healthcare services to the elderly, ensuring they are never deprived of the care they deserve. The launch event, held in conjunction with Eid Milad-un-Nabi and National Nutrition Week, marks a pivotal moment in Paras Health’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the senior citizens in the region.

The Senior Citizen Privilege Card offers a range of benefits that go beyond mere discounts, focusing on handholding seniors at every step of their healthcare journey.

Cardholders will enjoy special discounts on outpatient consultations, laboratory tests, radiology services, and admission bills, along with the added convenience of a free ambulance pick-up service within a 5 km radius of the hospital.

With an annual membership fee of just Rs 500, the card provides OPD consultations with all specialists and super-specialists at this reduced rate, ensuring that seniors receive the best possible care without financial strain.

Ahmad Ayaz Beigh, Secretary J&K Muslim Personal Law Board; Prof Mohammad Yaseen Kirmani General Secretary  J&K Muslim Personal Law Board, Ghulam Mohiud Din Poshpori, Chairman Senior Citizen Group Kupwara; Ghulam Nabi War, Chairman, Private School Association; Mohammad Sulaiman Bhat, Vice Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society Forum; and Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Senior Leader Pensioners United Front attended the launch of Senior Citizen Privilege Card.

During the launch, Ahmad Ayaz Beigh, Secretary J&K Muslim Personal Law Board, appreciated the initiative and said, “This is a very noble initiative by Paras to serve the aging population, we hope that the community in large will take this benefit. While attending this event, we have learnt various special needs of the aging population through the esteemed panel of doctors from Paras Health.”

The launch event, held at Paras Health Superspecialty Hospital Dalgate Srinagar, included  health talks by experts from various medical fields. The experts included Dr Altaf Ramzan (Director, Neurosciences), Dr Satish Chandra Wasoori ( Senior Consultant Endocrinology & Medical Director), Dr Mufti Mehmood (Director, Urology), Dr Masood Tanvir (Director, Internal Medicine ), Dr Basanti Ganjoo (Sr. Consultant, Gynaecology), Dr Tajamul Fazili (Director, Uro-oncology ), Dr Khurshid Iqbal (Assoc. Director, Cardiology ), Dr Naseer Mir (Associate Director, Orthopaedics). The event concluded with the official unveiling of the Senior Citizen Privilege Card.
