Srinagar, Dec 11: Paras Health Srinagar organised a high-level Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Thursday, bringing together nearly 100 doctors from across Kashmir for an in-depth discussion on emerging respiratory challenges, advanced critical-care techniques, and complex case learnings.

A statement of Paras Health Srinagar issued here said that held under the theme ‘From Scope to Solution: The Changing Face of Pulmonary Care,’ the CME served as a platform for clinicians to exchange insights on evolving pulmonary conditions and strengthen evidence-based respiratory care in Kashmir.

Officials said the Pulmonology Department at Paras Health Srinagar is equipped with a wide spectrum of diagnostic and interventional facilities, including Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Diffusing Capacity of the Lungs for Carbon Monoxide (DLCO), radial EBUS, convex-probe EBUS (CP-EBUS), thoracoscopy, and bronchoscopy.

The services are supported by a 24×7 emergency response system and an intensive care unit overseen by Dr Ali Imran, featuring high-end ventilators, HFNC, CPAP, BiPAP, and other advanced respiratory-support technologies.

Paras Health Srinagar said it plans to hold more such academic programmes to strengthen specialist capabilities and ensure that advanced pulmonary services, including ICU management, diagnostics, and interventional procedures, remain accessible within Kashmir, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the region for specialised treatment.
