Paras Health Srinagar begins cashless services for paramilitary personnel after CAPF empanelment
Srinagar, July 7: In a major boost to healthcare access for India’s paramilitary forces, Paras Health Srinagar has been officially empanelled with the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The empanelment paves the way for fully cashless outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) services for personnel and families of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, and SSB.
A statement said that the launch event, held at the hospital premises, was attended by senior dignitaries, including the DIG (Medical) and DIG (ADM) of CRPF, along with CAPF healthcare representatives and senior doctors. Their presence underscored a shared commitment to strengthening medical support for security forces serving in high-risk and remote areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Murtuza Habib, Facility Director at Paras Health Srinagar, said the initiative is a step towards honouring the sacrifices of the country’s paramilitary personnel. “Those who serve in the toughest terrains should not have to struggle for timely and quality medical care. With this empanelment, we aim to ensure dignity, speed, and comfort in every aspect of their healthcare journey,” he stated.
Under this collaboration, CAPF beneficiaries will have access to a comprehensive range of services, including multi-speciality consultations, advanced diagnostics, surgeries, and 24x7 emergency care—all under a streamlined cashless system. Dedicated Patient Relationship Officers will assist in registration, documentation, and coordination, ensuring a smooth experience from entry to discharge.
The empanelment reinforces Paras Health’s broader vision of building strong public partnerships to bridge healthcare access gaps and extend high-quality medical care to those who serve the nation on the frontlines.
