Pangong Cricket Club Baramulla holds annual meet
Baramulla, Feb 18: The Pangong Cricket Club (PCC) Baramulla on Sunday convened its annual meeting to discuss the plan of activities for the upcoming sports (summer) season in the Valley.
During the meeting, the club members vouched for maintaining proper strategy and better coordination for the overall betterment of the PCC and to provide the platform to other athletes to join the club.
During the annual meeting, various new players joined the club and were given a warm welcome by the managing body of the cricket club.
The players were also honoured in the presence of Advocate Mudasir Naqashbandi and Mushtaq Ahmad Lone. The manager of the team, Irfan Ahmad Rather welcomed all the new players in the club and extended his gratitude to Advocate Mudasir Naqashbandi and Mushtaq Lone for joining their hands for the management of the team.
During the meeting, Shahnaz Nazir was assigned the role of the Captain for the team while Umar Lone was assigned the role of his deputy. "The main motive of this club is to provide a platform to the youth and keep them busy in sports activities so they do not fall prey to other activities like drug addiction," the handout reads. The team also felicitated the players with several awards for their performance. Mudasir was given the award of best batsman while
Irshad was felicitated as best bowler and Asif Sheikh was given the award of best all-rounder. Also, Fardeen was awarded as an emerging player.
