Srinagar, May 04: The Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked firing during the intervening night of May 03–04 along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor. This marks the tenth consecutive day of ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces, an army official told Greater Kashmir.

However, the Indian Army responded promptly and proportionately.
According to the official, "During the night of May 03–04, 2025, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor in J&K."
