P K Tripathi appointed Lokpal Secy, R K Goyal Secy Deptt of Justice

Jammu, May 27: Two senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of erstwhile J&K cadre (now AGMUT) Pradip Kumar Tripathi and Raj Kumar Goyal were among five officers, who were transferred and posted in an administrative rejig, effected by the central government on Monday.

Both the officers are presently on central deputation. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training appointed Tripathi as Lokpal Secretary while Goyal was appointed as Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice.

ACC approved the appointment of Pradip Kumar Tripathi, IAS (AGMUT:87), Secretary (Coordination], Cabinet Secretariat as Secretary to the Lokpal till the date of his superannuation - June 30, 2024. Thereafter, he will continue on a contract basis for two years beyond the date of his superannuation on the usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed central government officers.

Tripathi has been on central deputation for quite some time.

In the reshuffle, Raj Kumar Goyal, IAS (AGMUT:90), Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice.

Goyal, who also served as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Home in J&K, proceeded on central deputation this year in February.

Besides the duo, Amit Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:91), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. The officer will take over as Secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment vice Saurabh Garg, IAS (OR91) upon his superannuation on July 31, 2024.

Rajendra Kumar, IAS (TN:92), Director General, Employees' State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour & Employment has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs vice Raj Kumar Goyal, IAS (AGMUT;90) upon his appointment as Secretary, Department of Justice.

Rakesh Ranjan, IAS (MN:92), Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has been appointed as the Chairman, Staff Selection Commission in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post and keeping the Recruitment Rules of the post in abeyance.
