Over 2.50 lakh devotees pay obeisance so far

Baltal, July 11: Over 2.50 lakh Amarnath Yatris paid obeisance at the Amarnath cave shrine during the last 13 days.

The 14th batch of 4885 yatris including 2366 men, 1086 women, 32 children, and 163 Sadhus and Sadvis left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu on Thursday morning in 191 vehicles for the twin base camps of Baltal and Palagam, officials said.

While 2991 yatris took the traditional Pahalgam route for their yatra, 1894 yatris opted for the Baltal route, they said.
