Srinagar, Sep 25: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and J&K election incharge, Ram Madhav Wednesday said that the ouster of three families - Abdullahs, Muftis, and Gandhis from J&K politics was a must for the flourishing of democracy in J&K.

Addressing a public meeting in support of the party’s candidate Faqir Muhammad Khan in Batra in Gurez, Madhav said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi established peace in J&K and crushed terrorism but the National Conference (NC) and Congress want to revive terrorism and push J&K into unrest.”

He said that people were with the development agenda of PM Modi.

“Congress and NC want to bring back Article 370 which means they want death and destruction in J&K, Madhav said. “The ouster of dynastic parties from the politics of J&K is a must for democracy to flourish and peace to arrive in J&K.”

He said that PM Modi had brought democracy to the ground and restored peace in J&K, paving the way for development and prosperity.

Madhav said that the three dynastic parties looted J&K and crushed democracy here.

“Complete freedom from such rulers is essential so that peace prevails and development continues,” he said.

Madhav urged the people to vote in large numbers to ensure the BJP’s victory so that the ongoing development and prosperity in J&K do not come to a halt.

BJP General Secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul, expressed hope that the people would support BJP.

“Only BJP is a guarantee to peace and development in J&K and its bright future,” Koul said.

He said that the people were fully behind PM Modi’s development agenda and BJP would form the next government in J&K.

Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Darakhshan Andrabi, said that this new J&K had been built by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where stone-pelting and terrorism had been replaced by peace and a surge in tourism.

She said that the BJP-led central government had truly implemented democracy in J&K and brought its benefits to the people.

“In contrast, the 70-year dynastic rule uplifted only a few families while the common people were always oppressed,” Andrabi said.

BJP Secretary Tariq Keen and party candidate from Gurez (ST), Faqir Muhammad Khan, also addressed the gathering.
