Orientation course for in-service physical education staff underway in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 2: The third phase of the refresher cum orientation course for in-service physical education staff of District Srinagar is currently underway at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Centre (SKISC), Wazirbagh.

The programme, as per a DYSS statement issued on Friday, brings together PEMs, PETs, and REKs representing all eight sports zones of Srinagar.

The young and energetic officials are participating in specialised training sessions focused on table tennis and badminton.

The course aims to equip participants with the latest techniques and trends in these games, enhancing their skills and professional competencies.

Organised by DYSSO Srinagar, the programme features some of the city’s most accomplished sports personalities, who are on-site to train and mentor the officials.

The initiative has been met with great enthusiasm, reflecting the district’s commitment to fostering a vibrant sports culture.

Officials and trainers expressed optimism that such programmes will further strengthen the district’s sports framework, ensuring quality training and development for both staff and athletes.
