Order related to allocation of Govt business modified

Jammu, May 30: J&K government Thursday ordered that the files pertaining to all its departments, not assigned to the Advisor, would be submitted to the Lieutenant Governor through the Chief Secretary.

Partially modifying its earlier orders, the government, however, clarified that the files of Home Department, relating to UAPA, PSA etc., would continue to be submitted as per the existing channel.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1026-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated November 2, 2020 read with Government Order No 704-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated June 16, 2023, it is hereby ordered that files pertaining to all government departments, not assigned to Advisor, shall be submitted to the Lieutenant Governor through the Chief Secretary (except files of Home Department relating to UAPA, PSA etc., which shall continue to be submitted as per the present channel of submission),” read an order issued by GAD.
