Oppressed classes’ upliftment special focus of PM Modi: Gulam Ali Khatana

Jammu, Oct 8: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MP Rajya Sabha Engineer Gulam Ali Khatana Sunday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had special focus to uplift the oppressed sections of the society.

He said that many revolutionary steps were initiated by the PM Modi led government and these initiatives included “political reservation to Scheduled Tribes; reservation to economically weaker sections; abrogation of Article 370 and hard blow to dynastic politics.”

He was addressing a gathering at village Dhok Waziran in Nagrota area.

MP Khatana claimed that all parties exploited Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for the past 70 years and did nothing for their upliftment. He said that some even used family lineage to exploit the innocent masses, especially the ST community in J&K.

A large number of people also joined BJP on the occasion.

Khatana further said the BJP government ensured that benefits of welfare schemes reached the needy and poor and multiple checks were ensured so that pilferage could come to a minimum. He said that special focus was on providing potable drinking water and electricity to every household and in near future this dream would come true.
