Operation Sindoor shows India’s modern warfare edge: CDS
New Delhi, Nov 11: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Tuesday described Operation Sindoor as “a compelling example of modern warfare,” highlighting how precision strikes, network-centric operations, digitised intelligence, and multi-domain tactics were executed effectively within a short time-frame.
Speaking at the Delhi Defence Dialogue, organised by the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), the CDS said, “Technological superiority has become a decisive factor in determining success on the battlefield.”
He emphasised that nations leading in technology will shape the outcomes of future conflicts, as emerging technologies, evolving doctrines, and strategic innovation redefine modern warfare. The two-day event, inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, focuses on harnessing new-age technologies for defence capability development and marks the 60th Foundation Day of MP-IDSA.
