Online fraud cases solved in Kishtwar

Ramban, Aug 12: The cybercrime unit of Kishtwar Police solved multiple online fraud cases and recovered online defrauded Rs 2,01,262 on Monday.

The reported scams included mobile recharge frauds, unauthorised third-party app installations, and malicious Telegram links promoting fraudulent trading apps like Aviator, Happybet, 11winner, and Skywinner.

On receiving complaints, the cybercrime investigation unit launched an investigation, leveraging advanced technical methods to trace and recover the defrauded funds.

They said  swift actions of the unit led to the recovery of Rs 2,01,262. Since its inception, the cybercrime investigation unit Kishtwar has successfully recovered a total of Rs 36,19,768 from various online scams, underscoring its effectiveness and commitment to combating cybercrime.
