One killed after car crashes with truck in J&K’s Udhampur

Udhampur, Feb 16: A tragic accident occurred Sunday morning near Daramthal on Srinagar-Jammu Highway, claiming the life of a car driver.

An official told the news agency JKNS that the deceased has been  identified as Ashkoor, son of Raj Ali, from Sarmoli village, died on the spot after a truck lost control and collided with his vehicle.

The body was shifted to Government Medical College Hospital, Udhampur, for post-mortem.

The police have arrested truck driver, while a case under relevant section of the law has been registered and investigations taken up.
