One dead, three critically injured in Karnah road accident
Kupwara, June 21: At least one person was killed while three others were injured on Saturday afternoon after their vehicle, they were traveling rolled down into a deep gorge in Dana area of border town Karnah.
Incharge Block Medical Officer Karnah Dr Arif Khawaja confirmed to Greater Kashmir about the death of a person while injuries to three other onboard persons. "The vehicle they were travelling in, was enroute to Kupwara and on reaching Dana near Sadhna Top, the vehicle rolled down into a deep gorge resulting death of an individual and injuries to three," he said.
"The condition of the two among three injured has been reported critical so they are being evacuated to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara," he added.
He identified the deceased as Pharmacist Mohammad Rafiq Khan and the critically injured as Mohammad Ashraf Mallah Block Accounts Manager Tanghdar, Parveena Begum wife of Mohammad Rafiq Khan and Shahid Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Rafiq Khan.
